WHO IS DR. TOM?
Dr. Tom Zlabinger has spent over two decades in the classroom figuring out what actually works for modern band ensembles. Dr. Tom's Charts is the result! A Professor of Music at York College / CUNY with a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology, he's also a working bassist with deep roots in rock, jazz, and experimental music. As Founding President of APME-NY, he's at the center of the popular music education conversation. These charts aren't theoretical. They are battle-tested in real rehearsals, at major conferences, and in schools and universities across the U.S.
